While there might not be as many caps involved, SiriusXM and Apple Podcasts have just revealed their own overpowered team. According to Engadget, the two broadcast giants are teaming up to bring all of SiriusXM’s Marvel Podcast Unlimited series to Apple podcasts, with free and paid options for interested listeners. The shows included will range from talk shows and breakdowns filled with fan theories to scripted series following the misadventures of Marvel’s greatest character. All hours of seemingly countless content are available on Apple’s new Marvel Podcast channel starting today.
Some of the free shows coming to Apple Podcasts include the award-winning Marvel’s Wolverine: The Long Night and its sequel, Marvel’s Wolverine: The Lost Trail. Both of these titles are based on the Marvel comics of the same name and marked Marvel’s first – and hugely successful – attempt to turn their graphic novels into captivating and colorful podcasts.
In addition, fans can also stream several unscripted series, such as Wonder / Method, where rapper Method Man interviews famous guests like Kevin Smith and Killer Mike about their relationship with Marvel, and This week in Marvel, a weekly series that showcases the latest happenings in the Marvel Universe, whether it’s a new trailer or a new line of action figures on the shelves. Successful and diverse series, such as Women of wonder and Marvel voices, will also be available from today.
Finally, the new Marvel channel on Apple Podcasts also features the first installment of the new multi-part series. Marvel’s Wastelanders, an original scripted podcast that follows Star-Lord and the Guardians of the Galaxy that showcases the voiceover talents of Timothy busfield (Peter Quill), Chris Elliott (Rocket), Danny glover (red), and Vanessa williams (Emma Frost).
For those who want to subscribe to Apple’s Marvel mash-up and SiriusXM, for $ 3.99 per month, you’ll have ad-free access to all of these shows and more, as well as Marvel’s declassified, a documentary series that delves into the history of Marvel Comics and Marvel’s first Spanish-language podcast series, Marvel’s Wolverine: La Larga Noche. For now, Apple is also offering a seven-day free trial of the service.
