Popular digital entertainment company Earshot has announced the launch of Dolby Atmos on its podcast streaming service app.
With Dolby Atmos, the Earshot podcast app promises to deliver an immersive audio experience in multiple Indian languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, and Bhojpuri, in addition to English on mobile phones.
“Earshot has brought top-notch journalism and compelling storytelling to the Indian audio world. We are extremely excited about our association with Dolby. Our listeners will now be able to listen to our podcasts and signature series in Dolby Atmos on their Dolby Atmos compatible smartphone. This new audio experience will provide a new way to experience engaging audio documentaries, reporting, entertainment and lifestyle content and fiction in multiple genres and languages on supported smartphones, ”said Gaurav Choudhury, Co-Founder and CEO of Earshot Media.
However, it should be noted that only Dolby Atmos compatible mobile phones can stream podcast content with immersive sound.
Users can listen in multiple languages, including songs like “Hear the Jungle, Hear the Forest”, “Women We Didn’t Know” in English, “Tanashaah (The Great Dictator)” in Hindi, “Baduli Mondir ( bat temple) ‘in Assamese,’ Banaras’ in Bhojpuri and ‘The Maneaters of Bengal’, ‘Purono Kolkatar Golpo’ in Bengali.
